The curving walls painted on the interior with a meandering floral scroll band between double-lined borders and a bird perched on rockwork in a bamboo grove across the floor of the well, the exterior walls painted with a jeweled lappet band and the recessed base covered with a chocolate brown wash (glaze degraded, crazed, some staining). 12 3/8in (31.4cm) diameter
